On PS4, like many Unreal Engine 3 games, it can take a few seconds before the textures are fully loaded (and again I'm using SSD compared with a regular PS4 hard drive). Texture loading happens very fast on PC. Stage 80 was roughly 3.3 seconds on PC vs. 6.6 seconds to load the first stage on easy vs 11.2 with same character and settings on PS4. PC version loads almost twice as fast in my case (SSD vs regular PS4). I've only scratched the surface of the PC version since I'm still not done with the game on PS4, but based on my short time with it (40+ hours), this is how I find it compares with PS4 version: I have a soft spot for Air Tortoises though.Īnyone wanna play in EU tonight? What's the GAF Discord? Grenades, grenade launchers and special/healing guns are boring. Overall I find myself playing mostly with rocket launchers, sniper rifles, shotguns and maybe machineguns every once in a while. High level sparrow shotguns are basically shotgun-machineguns. Snipers and shotguns get really good at higher levels. I keep killing my teammates and myself even when they're standing behind me. Grenade launchers with bouncy grenades are a bad idea in cave-type missions. Upgrades always seem to come with a trade-off or a quirk, but Stingers don't suffer from that problem. Higher lvl Stingers are usually straight upgrades, which is more than can be said for most other weapons. Great range, great rocket speed, good damage and reload times, no gimmicks. Stingers are overall the best rocket launchers. They're veritable bullet sponges with 1M+ HP. The one with the queen bees on hardest (or was it Inferno?) was a pain too. Those spiders fire their webs across large areas, long distances, which partially clip through walls and are generally very hard to avoid and hurt a lot. My party and I had the hardest time yesterday clearing that mission with all the giant spiders in a cave.
